Glasgow Comedy Festival - Des would like to thank everyone who came along to see the show at The Theatre Royal on Tuesday 18th March as part of Magners’ Comedy Festival. 1000 people came out on a Tuesday night and filled the venue to capacity. |
| The show was a triumph as the audience laughed for almost two hours solid and Des left the stage to a huge ovation. ‘I just wanted to say thank you to you all,’ said Des. ‘I feel it was the best performance I have ever done and the two hours just flew by. I have had so many emails from fans saying how much they enjoyed it. I would love to be able to answer each and every one of you personally but it’s just impossible as there were so many. I am using my website to say thank you for your support and thank you for your laughter and thank you for making the gig the huge success it turned out be.’ |

Don’t forget to come along with the kids to see Des in Panto this Christmas. Des is playing the Tin Man in ‘The Wizard of Never Woz’ at Glasgow’s famous Pavilion Theatre. ‘I had loads of young fans who wanted to come along with mum and dad to see my Magners’ show at the Theatre Royal but, as you know, that was just for adults,’ explained Des. ‘So my team at Radio Clyde got right behind me when I decided to take on this panto role. It will allow all my young listeners to come along and I am sure that Plunge and Ina and Paddy and Ralph will all be making a wee appearance at some point during the show. I’ve never done panto before but I am really looking forward to it.’ |
